Michael Lucarelli is a classical guitarist who performs both classical music and popular music at weddings, concerts, conventions and other events. [1]In addition to traditional works, he has written some compositions of his own. [2] He also teaches guitar and yoga at The University of Utah, where he received a Bachelor of Music degree.[3]

Biography

Michael Lucarelli was born August 18, 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He started learning to play electric guitar in 1973, and he began his study of classical guitar under Ricardo Linares. He also studied under Milton Jensen, Jerry Tertocha, and Tom Patterson. [4] He earned his Master of Music at The University of Arizona in 1992.[5] For several years he was part of the Utah Performing Arts Tour, and in 1995 he received grants from the Utah Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.[6] Lucarelli performed for the athletes at the 2002 Olympics.[7]
