We all know that English is the universal language but some do not use it naturally. Some of them are Chinese, Korean, Mexican and Spanish people. But some of them would like to speak English. Koreans go to the Philippines just to learn English because it is the closest place to go to (sorry Australia) and make K-Pop songs, short for Korean Pop Music, and Filipinos love it. So, what's the point? The point is this: Recently, some users (I won't name them, you know who you are) complain of my English, mostly in grammar and I speak my views as I think it. English is not a professional language, as most people speak it even if the only (English) words they know are composed of 1-3 words like "Yes", "Happy Birthday" and "I Love You". Wikipedia is presumably not strict in English and all of the users in en-wiki shouldn't be. Some of the users here are from Mexico, Spain or Philippines yet they speak English fluently WITHOUT using Google Translate. Let us tackle about Google Translate as an excuse. Some users, mostly who are American or British, insult users that aren't one of them who expressed their ideas in English as "using Google Translate" because of their bad grammar. Check their country if one of their official language is English, because this is the type those who insult use as their excuse.
Back In Time
(for the Americans) Before the British came into America, what's your language? Mixed, right? And only during the British colonization you learned to speak in English. So some are immigrants, including British, Dutch and Irish. So let's not offend the users' experience of speaking in English. Like what Daffy Duck said, live and let live. Respect their ways, the respect yours. Wait until the presidential and vice-presidential debates and listen if they speak it professionally. If they do, it's not my fault that they speak it that way.
