I am presently studying for an environmental sciences diploma at TAFE, but I hope to switch to medical pathology by 2005-06 if I'm lucky and there is a spot open in such a course on my campus. Factors working on my side there, apart from my interest in microbiology and histology, is that I'm not squirmish handling "icky" tissue samples or microtome blades, or blood, which is nice. Unless it is my own blood. Or when it is my own blood because I've stuffed up in handling a microtome blade. Something I've managed to avoid so far I am glad to note, and plan to avoid until the crack of doom opens and swallows me up. I like my fingers where they are. I enjoy the works of literature of Colin Forbes, Matthew Reilly and I am horrified to add, even Tom Clancy. But only The Bear and The Dragon, I swear. Oh, and Max Barry, heh.
