Chen Sun received the PhD degree in electrical engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore in 2005. From November 2002 to March 2003, he was with ATR Adaptive Communications Research Laboratories, Japan as a student intern. From August 2004 to May 2008 he was a researcher at ATR Wave Engineering Laboratories, Japan. In June 2008, he joined Ubiquitous Mobile Communications Group, National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) Japan as an expert researcher working on cognitive radio and IEEE SCC41 1900.6 standardization. His research interests include cognitive radio systems, smart antenna systems, array signal processing and cooperative communications.
