Gina Knight is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera EastEnders, played by Francesca Henry. Gina first appears in episode 6708, originally broadcast on 1 June 2023, introduced alongside the Knight family.

Characterisation and relationships
When asked what made Henry admire her character the most, Henry responded: "I admire that she sticks to what she thinks is right. She's often wrong when she does it – but it takes a lot of guts to do that when you're young."[1] On what frustrated Henry about her character, Henry conveyed her opinions on Gina being "selfish" in the sense of her "emotional temperature" always needing to be the "emotional temperature of the room".[1] She told Inside Soap she enjoyed the character that Gina became around Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick). She added that it was nice to see "a girl and a guy who're single and friends". Henry thought Jay and Gina can hold each-other to account.[1]
Henry also told Inside Soap that she would not be friends with characters such as Gina and Anna – she believed Gina and Anna are both "products of their upbringing where they’ve had to be very concerned with each other and themselves to get each other".[1] Expanding onto the point of Gina and Anna's relationship, Henry was asked what she had thought of the introduction of Junior (Micah Balfour). Henry said: "It's nice for Gina to be the younger sister for once. She's felt burdened by the responsibility of having to look after Anna, so she likes having big brothers Peter and Junior around. But obviously Gina doesn't know about Junior's affair with Cindy. If that was to come out, it could go all pear-shaped. Gina doesn't take stuff like that very lightly…"[1]

Inside Soap branded Gina as "the feisty older sister" of Anna (Molly Rainford).[1]
