Designer and developer of DSP loudspeakers. I have been designing and building loudspeakers since I was old enough to hold a soldering iron. I developed my first loudspeaker as a reaction to how poor my existing brand name loudspeakers sounded. I read a book on loudspeakers and short paragraph at the back mentioned in passing why active loudspeakers were superior to passive ones so i tried it. The loudspeaker consisted of a driver in a plastic bucket held in with some tape and a tweeter stuck on top, it was directly powered by the amplifier and it used some opamps for the frequency dividing circuit and it sounded wonderful much better than any loudspeaker i had heard at the time. I have been building and improving active loudspeaker ever since.
