Hi. I am a (very) intermittent and minor Wikipedian. I have many interests and am often drawn here by things I hear on the radio or see on TV.

I am a Brit who lives in Derbyshire, but resided for several years near Seattle, Washington state, USA.

My educational and professional qualifications are in Maths and Medical statistics. I speak English (RP) as my native tongue and am reasonably fluent in French. I also have a little rusty German, Latin and Ancient Greek.
