Matthew Olsen

Character Voice Actor Season One Season Two First Appearance
Matthew Olsen Jason Marsden 6 episodes 9 episodes "Happy Birthday Will"

Matt is Will's classmate and her big crush. He's lead guitarist of his band Wreck 55. He first appeared in the Season 1 episode "Happy Birthday Will". In "Walk This Way", he asked her to the school dance, in "Divide and Conquer" Will and Sondra fought over him at the school ski trip (even though he liked both), and in the "The Rebel Rescue" he gave Will a pet door-mouse, Mister Huggles. In the following episode, "The Stolen Heart", Matt follows W.I.T.C.H. through a portal, accidentally finding out about Meridian. Later in the Season 2 episode "D is for Dangerous", he asked Caleb to teach him how to be a warrior, and was nearly successful. In "L is for Loser" Matt was tricked and captured by Nerissa, who transformed him into her most dangerous Knight of Destruction, Shagon, the Angel of Malice, who feeds now on Will's hate for him, using his old self as a puppet to cause her to hate him more during their battles, however this strategy fails in one episode, and he is nearly defeated. He showed signs of his old self in "M is for Mercy", when he had Will tied up at the pier, but released her, claiming it was "too easy". He later escapes Nerissa's control and is made a Regent of the Heart of Earth by Lilian Hale, granting him Shagon's powers, but allowing him to retain his free will. Matt is voiced by Jason Marsden.

It stayed with her until the Season 2 episode "D is for Dangerous", because it escaped, causing havoc and destruction in the Silver Dragon- Hay Lin's parrents' restaurant- after which it was given to Taranee. Mister Huggles then got passed to Cornelia, because Taranee's father was allergic to fur. Later the door-mouse stayed with Elyon, but finally it returned with Matt, because as it seemed, only he could handle it. It remained with him until the episode "L is for Loser" when Nerissa transformed it into Khor, the Destroyer, a beast that fed off of other's rage. Even transformed it was loyal to Matt and remained loyal after Matt himself was turned into Shagon, the Angel of Malice. He is freed from Nerissa's grasp by the guardians during season 2, and is later made a regent of the Heart of Earth by Lilian Hale, allowing him to transform into Khor while retaining his free will.
