Paul George Daveson (born May 19, 1984) is a British composer and sound designer who is mainly self-taught and utilises experimental procedures and aleatoric principles within his music. He works primarily with film, orchestras and electronica.

Paul hails from the city of York, England and was once a treble chorister in the city's Minster. He cites Bill Bailey and Elliot Goldenthal as major influences on his musical output, saying "you can laugh about this, but it really did all go wrong with me!". Paul was given a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia at the age of 18, after spending some months at London's Royal College of Music. He readily talks about mental health problems, which he has pinned on early and traumatic life experiences. "I definitely believe in eidetic memory, lucid dreaming, regressional hypnosis and [interior] communion with aliens, but having said that, more and more people are beginning to believe in the New Age, year after year, and that's where I think we should be placing all of our creative emphasis ... it seems only natural!"

Paul plays the viola, piano, other percussive instruments and guitar.

"I remember sending out music to a wide variety of groups when I was in my teens and twenties, including the television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, for whom I created some very dissonant, cluster-like textures on my new viola. In fact, being in contact with Chris Beck was a real thrill, but I think that it's only been recently that I've started to think very seriously about music and how it affects all of our lives!" (in 2020).
