This is a survey of 6 arbitrary FA's that have been on the main page sometime in the last 6 months. (More accurately, 4 arbitrary ones and the first 2 I looked at are the two I've been involved with.) The original purpose is to identify the extent to which main-page FA's are improved during their day of fame, and by whom. This survey was performed manually, so the sample is necessarily small, though the analysis is more complete than could be done with a bot. Turns out this is really tedious and dull on articles I wasn't involved in writing! Will look into a more automated solution.
Only substantive changes to the article are described - including formatting/writing fixes only if they represent significant changes. This does not include minor spelling and grammar fixes, wikilink additions or changes, or introduction of external links.

Substantive changes: the lead was clarified (established editors), an additional software tool for frameshift analysis was linked (established editor), and a sentence on scoring robustness was added (anon).
- Hydrogen - main page on 29 October, 2006 - diff
Substantive changes: IPA and etymology corrected (multiple people, all established editors), addition of an image (established editor) Hindenburg material given its own explicit section (account resgistered >4 days earlier), addition of material related to the efficiency of hydrolysis as a hydrogen gas production method (account registered >4 days earlier; these edits were disputed on talk).

Substantive changes: rewrite of lead (multiple people, most established editors - couldn't find every change), addition of paragraph on the operation's place in a novel (established editor).
- Igor Stravinsky - main page on 22 November, 2006 - diff
Substantive changes: additional quote from Stravinsky (established editor), mention of derivative work in Star Wars (anon; disputed and later removed after the end of the 24-hour period).
- Enzyme - main page on 11 October, 2006 - diff
Substantive changes: major rewrites, especially of lead; addition of images, almost entirely by the original author (established editor, obviously).
