Education
I have lived overseas for several years and completed high school at the American International School in Lisbon, CAISL. I obtained an associates degree in business at University of Maryland's Munich campus in Munich, Germany in 1992. I have a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI obtained in 1997.
Occupation
I have been working in drug discovery for the past 9 years. I have a strong interest in science and computers. I am currently working in discovery in a major pharmaceutical company with an interest in new targets in inflammation. I am particularly interested in lipid signaling as it pertains to cancer and airway disease. My training is in molecular biology and have experience with cloning, cell culture, gene knockdown (siRNA), Taqman, LC/MS/MS, DNA microarrays and some computational biology.
