Developing projects:
- Visual editor: editing interface which enables (semi-)instant editing on article text
- mobile platform
- Wikipedia Zero - no data charge for countries/areas where internet is limited or unafforadable for most
- Internationalization - increasing chapters in India/ involvements
- Upload Wizard - active & online since May/June 2012
2015 goals: Increase readership / Quantity & quality of material
Near-future:
- Increase participation (in decline)/ why active editors in decline/...
Broaden editor diversity <<===>> Global south
- increase confidence - New editors
- Kinder reversions with positive feedback-
- more expression of (wiki-)love & support

- Nature of Wikipedia editing: research oriented, time-consuming activity
- Essay: A Room of One's Own by V.W.
- Limitations of female writers - Women need education/access to edu. - Women need financial supports to be able to pursue personal careers
- Expected duties on household works, etc.... women are lack of spare time, just as in 1929
- Modern time: 80% of users on "Pinterest" - photo community - are women
52%/56% of users on facebook/flickr/.... are women
- Most websites popular with female users appear to be more visually appealing/attractive
may be one of things need to be improved on WP?
Outreach to Elders - Silberwissen/ Silver knowledge
- presentation by Wikimedians from European Chapters (Netherlands, Denmark, Deutsch, Switzerland..), on how-to's in outreach to Seniors
- External collaboration - finding partnership: library, non-profit, senior universities/ clubs (ex. stamp collect.)/learning centers /senior computers-clubs....
- Support and build a network / via actual invitation / build up personal contact
- Mobilization of seniors for Wiki Loves Monuments - 2012
Conclusion:
- Not without challenges
- Start from invitation, build trust
- Activate, guide, and reward the new users

- Senior editors can provide valuable creations, still possible to execute and can be done with right arrangements
