I am an English teacher from Manchester, UK who has been living and working in Nicaragua since 2014. Before that I taught and worked as an editor, writer and private tutor in Moscow Russia for nine years. My university studies were in French and English language at the University of Ulster, a long time ago. I speak Russian and now follow events in Russia closely, and live with my Russian partner. I still teach my Russian students via Skype, many of whom are also my friends. Our daily life here goes slowly, we live close to the cloud forest of Mombacho volcano and we spend our time reading, playing piano, making fuel from cow dung and sawdust, leatherwork and generally tending the trees and plants in our garden.
