Ishan Dixit (born 5 February 1991) is an Indian writer/author, philanthropist and Hindi poet. He is best known for his first book "Known For 2". The book is on the basis of Bildungsroman, Romance and Drama. He writes his book in English while poetry in Hindi. His work mainly focused on love and miseries in nowadays which includes hiraeth in society through his poetry.
Aside from being a novelist, Ishan is also known for his interest in music. He is working on launching a youtube channel. Currently he is working on his next Untitled book which will be comming in 2020, in both the languages; English and Hindi.
Early Life and Career
Ishan was born on February 5, 1991 in Udaipur, Rajasthan to Akhilesh and Madhvi Dixit. He attended Kendriya Vidayala in Udaipur. He later attended University of Pune, graduating in 2014. He used to start writing short stories and poems while doing engineering. After seeing love as a common reason of depression in youth while studying in college inspired him to become an author,
After graduating from college, Ishan spent four years doing a job as software engineer in an MNC. Along with, he volunteered in an NGO to support poor children to provide basic needs and education.
Ishan simultaneously worked on his story and launched his first book, Known For 2.
Writings
Ishan's first novel, Known For 2 is a romance/drama fictional story about purity of love and miseries in life. It includes the moral and psychological growth of the protagonist from childhood to adulthood.
Known For 2 has been praised critically and financially. It is described as 'sharp dialogue, defective authority figures, contemporary, realistic and one heartbreaking twist'.
One more reviewed it as 'there's more of an interest in authentic, genuine, relatable characters'.
