In the 1970s, I grew up reading a hardcopy set of the World Book Encyclopedia, which was a gift from my grandmother. The World Book's layout, writing and volume of articles not only helped me learn to read but also fueled my interest in history. My bachelor's degree is in history, and I work as a freelance writer, publicist and cartoonist. I turn to Wikipedia among the many sources I consult during my workday to complete projects, and I want to do my part to protect the integrity and value of Wikipedia.
