not sure it needs mention, deep in google search, but I found the quote by Wales odd.

Notes on Essjay re-vert squabble

05:49, 14 March 2007 C.m.jones (Talk | contribs) (adding completely NPOV language to Sanger section that takes no sides but only reports.)

  • Gwen re-verts to the previous, which was unfortunately his re-vert on the consensus version reached earlier:

07:07, 14 March 2007 Gwen Gale (Talk | contribs) (at least learn to parse a sentence then ok?)

  • Gwen points out C.m jones edit in the talk page after fixing it.

07:09, 14 March 2007 Gwen Gale (Talk | contribs) (→Controversial Edit - Can't anyone see what's mangled about this one?)

  • All Tom did was change the re-vert squabble back to the agreed on consensus form:

08:50, 14 March 2007 Threeafterthree (Talk | contribs) (→Wikipedia critics - added context)

  • Gwen's comment to his fix was:

08:51, 14 March 2007 Gwen Gale (Talk | contribs) (rs wording agreed upon in talk, pls do not use misleading edit summaries, thnks)

I mistakenly thought, through the context of the posts in the discussion, that Tom had been the one to make the edit, "who also says and is reported to be co-founder of Wikipedia which Wales says is inaccurate" that Gwen referred to at the beginning. This was not the case. Understandably Tom was upset over an allegation that wasn't accurate, as his change to the critic section was a proper re-vert to the agreed upon consensus. His lack of making note of it is no worse than a majority of posters, Gwen herself only mentions C.m.jones parsing ability, and in the talk section quotes the clunkyness of the the change, with no mention of 'co-founder' issues.

I do believe Tom was unjustly singled out from all those participating in the various ex-changes.
