I am one of the contributors in Applehouse: seiyu database network. We are a non-comercial fan society, and record seiyu cast of each episode in anime and Japanese dubs, as well as other seiyu performances in various kinds of works such as voice-overs in TV advertisements. You can find detailed information about seiyu, which can be utilized to improve anime-related articles. However, I realize that we have several problems.

  • We cannot record all the seiyu performances, although we are trying to do it.
  • Name's hiragana and "所属" (= affiliated with) are often incorrect.
  • No seiyu information in Applehouse can be found through web search engines, since we reject web crawlers. (This is not my decision!)
  • The interface of the database is inconvenient.
  • URLs as search results are changed when the database is updated.
  • All information is provided only in Japanese.
