History

Located at 8800 East Riverside Boulevard Loves Park, IL, this sports complex has brought many players and fans to this site for quite some time https://mercyhealthsportscore.com/[1]. The time of when the complex was built is the summer of 2017. Loves Park sport center now half complete, WREX TV Channel 13 News: The halfway mark is here for a major indoor sports center expansion. The Rockford Park District hired CORD Construction to complete the expansion. At their topping off ceremony Wednesday, construction crews placed the last beam on top the 130,000 square foot building. The event means construction is now 50% complete. The expansion of Mercyhealth Sportscore Two will include a full size turf soccer field and a connecting building. A milestone was reached today atop the 133,000-square-foot Mercyhealth Sportscore Two Indoor Sports Center on Riverside Boulevard. The final beam of a major expansion project was installed after being signed by dozens of people. The Topping Off ceremony, a collaboration of the Rockford Park District, Winnebago County Regional Tourism Facility Board and CORD Construction, commemorated the end of construction on the shell of the $13 million structure. Better known as Mercyhealth Sportscore Two, the outdoor part of the entire location is just as important and vital to making all of this so successful.

Along with everything that is indoor, this sports complex has restrooms, concessions, 3 Sand Volleyball Courts, 26 Outdoor Soccer fields, Wedgbury Stadium, 2,000+ parking spaces all within 180+ acres.

Mercyhealth Sportscore Two is also home to Wedgbury Stadium, which seats 2,500 spectators, and has hosted IHSA State High School Soccer Finals, pro football games, National Rugby Finals, college rugby championships, professional soccer games with international teams, and USSL W. League Soccer Finals. In 2016, the facility was upgraded to include new synthetic turf field (highest quality in the market today), new NCAA professional level lighting, new pathways and restrooms building, and is now FIFA certified. The complex also includes indoor and outdoor concession and picnic areas, indoor and outdoor dining with a restaurant overlooking the fields, a tournament staging area for pictures, a playground, and ample parking.
