Justin Paul Barrass is an English language lecturer at Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea. He has also lectured at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and Northumbria University. He holds master's degrees in applied linguistics from the University of Oxford (specialising in lingua franca perspectives on English pronunciation), and in mathematics from Bangor University (specialising in topology).

Born in Stockton-on-Tees, he moved to Bangor as an undergraduate, since when he has also lived in Ulsan, Kadıköy, Bundang, Seoul, Bongdam, and Suwon, where he currently lives and works.
