“Money comes and goes but credit always revolves. If my life was dependent on cash or credit, I would choose credit; when cash is gone, it’s gone, with credit you can rebuild”, so says Jeffrey Bruno. He has experienced many challenges in his life. A childhood that saw the unpleasant separation of his parents and the loss of a sister he so dearly loved. He witnessed the aftermath and devastation of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti where he suffered the ordeal of being kidnapped and tortured for 7 days in Petion Ville. He learnt more in that 7 days ordeal than he had in his entire life. He came away with the understanding that desperation is aligned with hunger and poverty, which gives birth to a realm of thinking where there are no boundaries. These experiences have tested his faith and will power. At various times he questioned the direction of his life and made the choice of hope over despair. This realization gave birth to his true sense of purpose. Jeffrey believes that life with all its adversities gives us a chance to be the best we can despite being in an equation that sometimes reflect sadness and pain. He took the opportunity in charting his life through caring and sharing. Jeffrey was featured on CNN in January 2010 click here below to see this brief interview. http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/tech/2010/01/15/frias.haiti.missing.internet.cnn#/video/tech/2010/01/15/frias.haiti.missing.internet.cnn Jeffrey Bruno was born in Brooklyn, New York. His parents are Haitian immigrants. He attended Phil’s Academy as a youngster and later Public School 39 (PS39). At age 11 his parents moved back to Haiti. For untold reasons, he attended high schools in both Brooklyn and Haiti. Upon completion, he was accepted at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale in 2005 where he gained an Associate Degree in Media Communications. In 2009, Jeffrey returned to Haiti to assist his parents in setting up a media center. Upon completion of this project, he returned to the USA where he opted for contractual assignments while establishing himself as a Radio Specialist Engineer. In February 2012 he launched The Bruno Group. Throughout his adult life it was not unusual for Jeffrey to give cash or food to the homeless and others living in disadvantaged neighborhoods. His concern propelled him to establish a foundation in 2013 called Jeffrey Cares. Its sole mission will be to assist single mothers who are economically disadvantaged due to dropping out of school, hence, making poor choices and decisions in the their lives. The thrust of this organization will be to help food insecure mothers and their children by fulfilling their nutritional needs, which will impact their development and wellbeing. This foundation will be used as a tool in promoting the importance of continued education in a structured manner and expose these young women in becoming the best they can be. They will have access to development workshops with the aim of harnessing their God given talent to the advantage of experiencing self-actualization.

Jeffrey Bruno’s work has given him a sense of self-worth and fulfillment. He currently resides in Plantation, Florida and outside of his professional career, spends time promoting his philanthropic work. Outside of work he finds time to spend with his nephews. He loves sports and outdoor activities. If you would like to support Jeffrey Cares you can go to www.jeffreycaresfoundation.org
