Samuel Prakel is a star cross country and track & field runner for Versailles High School. He started running in the seventh grade, and won almost all of his races so far. Unfortunately, he missed most of the 2007 season due to a stress fracture in his ankle, but he recovered to win the rest of his races. Samuel is very notable because of his winning so many races, including higher-level races. He got extremely low times of below 10:18 for two miles, and 15:49 for a 5K.

Family

Samuel's family has a history of running, also. His older sisters, Mary Prakel and Margaret Prakel also run and get fast times. One of his younger sisters, Caroline, runs cross country as a eighth grader.
