If you think that I should become an admin, please say so, possibly with a reason why. I'm not going to nominate myself unless I get a lot of people saying I should be an admin, but I won't stop anyone else from nominating me before that point. Ian.thomson (talk) 20:19, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

  • Hey Ian, you should become admin. You give great advice and seem to be non-hostile, so go for it! GokuBeatsAll (talk) 19:42, 25 January 2012 (UTC)GBA
  • You are one of the best bright young editors around. Logical, to the point and not afraid to speak your mind. Go for it. History2007 (talk) 20:42, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
  • Please do not become an administrator. I don't think you've got the objectivity nor the temperament for it. Contaldo80 (talk) 13:43, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
Says the POV-pusher who I pointed out cited books for claims the books do not even begin to discuss at all, who fought for a week before finally admitting that he made a mistake. Ian.thomson (talk) 14:50, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
  • Actually, Ian, you're about to be nominated unless you indicate otherwise. Chris Troutman (talk) 00:22, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
@Chris troutman: I'm aware. The site notifies me whenever you mention me, and I've been discussing it with User:Kudpung (who deserved some sort of award for putting up with me).
I unlinked this a long time ago since the responses over the course of a year were a kid who quickly gave up, a community banned user (posts removed), a good user who left the site, and someone who was still learning the ropes at the time. I suppose I should leave it up for the sake of transparency, though I've been considering tagging it db-self for a while (though never at times I'm at a computer).
