Career

===Youth football Claudino was born in São Gotardo, but played his youth football by Prudentópolis, a club based in Prudentópolis, Paraná state. He spent one year in the youth department of Clube Malutrom, a club that used to be based in Curitiba. Claudino advanced to Prudentópolis' first team in 2001, but did not have any appearances for them, and was loaned out to Corinthians Paulista, in a lower division. Following his one season loan, he returned to his club of origian Prudentópolis, but achieved just three appearances for them.

Basel

Claudino joined Basel's first team, on a six month loan from Prudentópolis, for their 2003–04 season under head coach Christian Gross.[1] After playing in two test games, Claudino played his domestic league debut for the club, coming in as substitute, in the home game in the St. Jakob-Park on 24 August 2003 as Basel won 6–0 against Servette.[2] The player could not fully break into the team and as the first half of the season came to an end, it was decided not to prolong the loan contract.[3] Basel ended the season as Swiss champions with 13 points advantage over second placed Young Boys.[4]

During his five/six months with the club, Claudino played a total of 12 games for Basel scoring one goal. Four of these games were in the Swiss Super League, one in the Swiss Cup and seven were friendly games. He scored his goal during the test games.[5]

Ponte Preta Sumaré

Claudino returned to Brazil and rejoined Prudentópolis, but soon moved on to Ponte Preta Sumaré, where he played for nearly three years.

Uberaba and loan to Atlético Sorocaba and Democrata-GV

He then joined Uberaba, but not succeeding for them was loaned ou to various other clubs in his home country. These included Atlético Sorocaba in 2007, but he only played in two league games for them. In 2009 he was loaned to Democrata-GV and here had 10 league appearances, scoring one goal. He then returned to Uberaba for one year before them before moving on again.

CRAC and Araxá

In 201 he joined CRAC and one year later moved to Araxá, but was loaned to Funorte for the 2013 season. He played another season for Araxá and retired from active football thereafter.
