The first citation I checked worked. I noticed in the first paragraph that somethings were claimed such as SFP dating back to Ancient Greece and India but there were no citations on where this information came from. The overall feedback on the article was that it was missing many citations and many examples.

reflections on self-verification theory

The article seems to have one main source of research which all stems from writings from the creator of this theory, William Swann. It would do well with more updated research and verified examples of this theory in recent years.
