Hello. Harveyhiestand here. Welcome aboard.

I'm mostly a Wikipedia reader, but I can't help fixing errors when I see them. I currently reside in Las Vegas. When I go out on the porch, I can hear the screams from people riding the rides on The Strat, and Janet flights fly constantly overhead, bound for Runway 19 at McCarran International Airport. What else? Well, the water here is very hard, and everything you sprinkle with a hose ends up with white deposits all over it. And the heat here is incredible—you can burn yourself just touching your steering wheel. Children die from being left in cars here.[1][2][3] One thing you figure out after living here a while is that, no matter where you go, you're never more than 20 feet away from a pigeon.[4]

I read the main page every day; it is also the start page on my browser. When I browse Wikipedia for fun, I normally stick to topics in pop culture, history, or current events. When I browse for work, the topics are usually in geography, linguistics, or literary theory.

Thanks for stopping by!
