We are now going to learn how to fix various minor errors in articles related to Wikipedia:Manual of style (see also: manual of style).

Assignment 1: Articles about Korean or Chinese topics should have Korean or Chinese text in the lead. Take a look at Category:Articles needing Korean script or text or Category:Articles needing Chinese script or text. Read the instructions at the top, then try to add the missing Korean and Chinese text.

If you cannot find articles in need of Korean or Chinese text, try browsing categories for biographies, like Category:Chinese people (and their subcategories, like Category:Chinese disabled sportspeople).

Assignment 2: Read Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Korea-related articles and/or Wikipedia:Manual of Style/China-related articles. Can you use information and advice in those guides to improve an article on Wikipedia (perhaps an article you have edited before for your project or extra credit?)

Assignment 3: Discussion question: is Manual of Style important to know and follow? Why?

Assignment 4: Read Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking. See if there are any articles in Category:Articles with too few wikilinks that you can add links to. You can also take a look at less developed articles related to Korea or China and see if they need to have more links added. See Category:Korea stubs and Category:China stubs.

Assignment 5: Related to the above, see if there are any articles with too many links you can fix in Category:Articles with too many wikilinks. To help you with this assignmment, install this script User:Evad37/duplinks-alt and try to use it to remove some unncessary links from articles. Remember that it is fine for duplicate links to exist in the lead (once) and the body (once).

Assignment 6: Sometimes articles that need to be linked exist on another Wikipedia (ex. Korean or Chinese) but not English. In that case, you should use Template:Interlanguage link. Try to use this tool to add links to Korean or Chinese topics that have articles on Koraen or Chinese Wikipedias but not in English. You can look at what articles in Chinese and Korean Wikipedias do not have articles in English, see what links to them there (using the "Special:WhatLinksHere" tool available to all users from the menu on the right) and then locate the linking articles in English and add relevant links.

Assignment 7: Read Wikipedia:Orphan. See if there are any articles in Category:Orphaned articles that you can link to from other articles, addressing this issue. If there are too few, try to add more links to articles you have created or translated. See what links to them on Korean or Chinese Wikipedia using this tool: Special:WhatLinksHere (see ko:Special:WhatLinksHere for Korean and zh:Special:WhatLinksHere for Chinese), then try to locate those articles on English Wikipedia and add links. If you translated article to Chinese or Korean, then see what links to the English article, locate the relevant articles on Chinese or Korean Wikipedias, and link them.

Assignment 8: Now for something fun. Some articles about books, films or such have inadequate plot summaries. Can you add plot summaries to them? See Korean topics, Chinese topics or more in Category:Wikipedia articles without plot summaries.

Assignment 9: Read Wikipedia:Plot-only description of fictional works. Plot summaries should not be too long. Take a look at Korean topics, Chinese topics or more in Category:Wikipedia articles with plot summary needing attention. Are plots there too short or too long? Can you fix them by making them the right size?

Assignment 10: Some articles may be about a very similar topic and require merging. Take a look at the list of Korean and Chinese articles nominated for merging. Check also whether both articles have separate articles on Korean and/or Chinese Wikipedia. Then, in the article on English Wikipedia which is considered for merging, click on the "Discuss" link the merge template visible at the top, read the discussion and offer your thoughts on whether those articles should be merged or not. You should also say whether the articles are merged or not in Korean and Chinese Wikipedias. Finally, if you think the merge is a good idea, and the articles in Korean and/or Chinese are separate, you should start a merge discussion there.
