Interesting facts I have found from Wikipedia
- If you approximate pi to the 39th digit, you can calculate the area of a circle the entire known universe with accuracy to the width of 1 hydrogen atom.
- The Pringles saddle shape chip surface was modeled after, and can be described mathematically by, a hyperbolic paraboloid, which is a form of quadric. This shape is distinctive in that it is curved at all points along its surface; there are no flat planes or lines. This design characteristic is beneficial as it helps keep the chips from breaking during distribution by eliminating lines of stress along which a small crack may easily propagate.
- About 34% of the world by country population drives on the left, and 66% keeps right. By roadway miles, about 72% drive on the right.
- It has been estimated that, on average, approximately 20 life-years are gained from the health benefits of road bicycling for every life-year lost through injury.
