No other composer is more often the subject of film productions than Mozart, especially when emotional moments are to be musically emphasised. The Adagio from the Clarinet Concerto K. 622 plays a prominent role here. Here are three examples:

1. in the film Out of Africa (1985), the melody is always heard when the relationship between the narrator and her lover is discussed and thus permeates the entire film.

2. the comedy film Green Card (1990) refers to "Out of Africa" by playing the clarinet concerto whenever Africa is mentioned

3. in the film Breathless, the entire concerto can be heard on a record in the background.

• Excerpts from the concerto appear in the film Masculin féminin by Jean-Luc Godard (1966);
• The theme of the slow movement is used for the music of the film Out of Africa by Sydney Pollack released in 1985. The musical adaptation is by John Barry;
• The second movement is also featured at the end of the film Conversations with My Gardener by Jean Becker in 2007;
• An extract from the concerto is used in the film The King's Speech (2010);
• The second movement is also featured in the film With Love... from the Age of Reason by Yann Samuell (2010);
