My name is Tom Fields and I am currently employed as a Digital Media Manager at Westat. I have worked on several health care and education projects including the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Health Care Innovations Exchange, the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) program, the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study that is being co-directed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the IDEA Data Center which is funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs, and several Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) projects.
I am interested in sharing government health data that is public domain material to increase efficiency and reduce disparities in health care and education. I want to be able to post this content in accordance with Wikipedia guidelines and am happy to work with other editors. Any suggestions regarding my edits are appreciated. I have access to about 800 health care innovation profiles that can be used to improve articles about hospitals, health care organizations, health care procedures, telemedicine, EMRs, FQHCs, etc. I see great value in making this material available on open source platforms like Widipedia. On that note, I am very interested in finding out more about DBPedia. It might make sense to post the entire collection there and update it every two weeks as new issues are produced.

Reviews of Tools
AHRQ maintains a listing of "Innovations & QualityTools", which is a collection of health care practices of local health care providers and free online tools that providers can use in their practices. The profile information could be used to develop articles about local health care providers. Criteria for inclusion in and exclusion from the collection of profiles can be found on the "Submit an Innovation page" along with bullets about the development process each profile undergoes. Each profile is given a rating that describes the strength of the evidence that the innovation was linked to the observed results. More information about how profiles merit different evidence ratings is available on the "Evidence Rating Page".
Video profiles
AHRQ maintains a list of video profiles in which health care providers describe one of their practices on video. These videos could be shared on Wikipedia in both articles about the local health care organization which developed the practice or in Wikipedia articles which cover the practice.
