I am a scientific software engineer.

As an employee of UCAR I was one of the authors of the NetCDF package. As an employee of the University of Colorado, Boulder, I continue to contribute to the netCDF project. NetCDF is a scientific data package, widely used in atmospheric, climate, Earth, and space science. It is free and open software, developed under grants from NSF, NASA, and NOAA, and supported by a wide community of developers and contributors.

As an employee of the University of Colorado Boulder I am one of the authors of the ParallelIO libraries. The ParallelIO C/Fortran libraries allow efficient I/O to and from netCDF files on HPC systems. Parallel I/O is used in several climate and weather models, including CESM. It is free and open software, developed with support of NCAR and NOAA.

My goal on Wikipedia is to ensure that the netCDF and ParallelIO pages are accurate and up to date, so that science users can correctly use these tools.
