The pledge is simple. If five people think my motives at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Advisory Council on Project Development are anything other than honorable, I will never serve on any similar council. Have already pledged never to serve on the current council as constituted by ArbCom, so it's a simple step to extend that pledge.

In my eyes, the matter is about the scope of ArbCom's mandate and balance of powers. So if this is what it takes to get that problem fixed, in the long run that's worth it.

Bonus to administrators: any sysop who thinks I pursue a hidden agenda here is invited to salt Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Durova 2.
