Dr.Sonia Singh  (Devnagari:डॉ.सोनिया सिंह ), also known as Dr.Sonia Heldestad (born 27july), is an Indian columnist, poetess,novelist, social activist and stage anchor. She  is best known for her poetry.She is currently living in Stockholm Sweden.

Dr.Sonia was born to a Sikh family. [5] in Punjab, India.[6] She started her career as a model along with teaching.

After making her name as a teaching, she began a career in journalism in 2005,she contributed to many magazine and newspapers in India. In her columns, she used to explore the socialite life  and woman related issues. At present, she is a freelance writer and columnist for several newspapers and magazines.[citation needed]

She is a founder of e-magazine which is Indiasweden.com http://indiasweden.com/indiasweden/ .it is a first magazine in Sweden which has three different languages:Swedish,English and Punjabi.shw wrote a poetry book Ahsaas and more book will be release soon. 

She has participated in several literary festivals.
