I have moved my barnstars and other awards from my user page or talk page to this page because the user page was getting too long and especially too long to save easily. I have omitted some that were added my new users that were for minor or trivial reasons or which I suspect may have been meant sarcastically.

I have also moved the list of barnstars that I have awarded, some of which I customized, from my user page.

Barnstars and awards

I thank User:Bullmoosebell, a brave defender of our nation and our liberties and energetic Wikipedia contributor for the following barnstars. His contributions to our country far outweigh my meager contribution to Wikipedia. I express here my admiration for him and his work and display these awards with pride because he bestowed them. Introduction added to this award as copied from my talk page.

The Barnstar of Diligence
You edit with passion & adequate references, and your extensive service to Wikipedia speaks volumes of your tenacity to keep Wikipedia credible & fortuitous as a reference source. Your edits are in keeping with the proper Manual of Style of Wikipedia, the Policy on Good Faith Edits, and the heritage of the United States Military. Keep up the great work! Bullmoosebell (talk) 07:28, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar
You've gone through much toil and hard work to keep the integrity of Wikipedia, while associating the proper channels and adherence to good faith edits. Seemingly overdue, you've earned the Barnstar of Defense. Bullmoosebell (talk) 07:26, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

Great to meet another vandal-fighter on this wiki. It's my tradition to give barnstars to random vandal-fighters and excellent editors that I run into. I noticed that you aren't a rollbacker yet. Have you considered nominating yourself for rollback permission? I'm sure you'll make very good use of the tool! K6ka (talk | contribs) 03:24, 2 February 2014 (UTC)

I have omitted further barnstars or other awards which were placed along with simply a series of comments, questions, requests or seem to have been placed at primarily as attention getters or facetiously. Donner60 (talk) 09:36, 19 January 2016 (UTC) I am puzzling about whether to include two others. I think they were sincerely placed but seem to have been based on only one or a few rather routine actions. Donner60 (talk) 05:26, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

Why do you keep deleting my edits :) The One and Only Boothsift 04:55, 14 February 2019 (UTC)

Comments on my talk page show the message, though not the barnstar, was a joke. I have noticed that a vandal posted the same text with a picture of a goat in the preceding edit. I had removed some of Boothsift's good edits, mostly or entirely vandalism reverts, when I restored an earlier version of an article due to multiple vandalisms by several users.

...That was fast...which is a really really good thing

The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
As I am going though the RC and find vandalism of any kind to tackle, you already have done it. Your efficiency and persistence at cleaning Wikipedia may be admirable, but the actions you take to fix all vandalism right before I can do anything is very impressive. Very good job so far at fixing vandalism fast! UtopianPoyzin (talk) 04:02, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
(Removed ping) UtopianPoyzin. Thank you. You will find others that are faster. The important thing is to get it right, of course - or to quickly correct a wrong revert if possible. I have been around for awhile so I may recognize some common types of vandalism quickly. I also have suspicions about certain types of edits but will spend at least a little time trying to get confirmation, which slows down progress. Even if a person is careful, all of us make mistakes at least occasionally and can be grateful for a quick correction or a little help. Unfortunately vandalism and other types of disruptive editing are a constant problem and none of us can spend more that a little time on it occasionally. So many people need to be alert in order to keep Wikipedia reliable and well written. Keep up your good work and happy editing! Donner60 (talk) 04:28, 17 May 2019 (UTC)

I was curious, seeing as I remembered you reviewing another article I did some work on, William Henry Harrison Seeley, so I decided to check the history of the Military History assessment requests section; of the past 500 edits made there, you contributed 348 of them. That to me is an absolutely incredible figure, and I think you definitely deserve this. CommissarDoggoTalk? 23:36, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
Thanks. Most of the articles put up for manual assessments are easy enough to review due to the many outstanding contributors that we have to the project. Most are interesting as well. Donner60 (talk) 23:43, 3 March 2024 (UTC)

Barnstars given to others

I should take more notice of others' good work and have started this list to keep track. Sometimes I have been reluctant to award barnstars because (1) many of the good contributors already have quite a few and another coming from me, especially if I have not worked with them much or at all, seemed almost presumptuous; (2) it seems to me that the trend of giving these to others has been rapidly declining (maybe because of (1)?); (3) I often have only seen a little of someone's work, a snapshot so to speak and (4) I wonder about whether I am really able to make such judgments. I suppose these are not adequate reasons to refrain completely from placing barnstars. The special barnstar and a few others do seem to have been created to cover number 3 in my short list of possible reasons to ignore barnstars. The list below has the previous barnstars I placed as found by a search of my edit summaries on May 27, 2014, with others added as or near the time when I have "awarded" them. I am not looking for any recognition or reciprocity. I simply realized that I should be a little more generous with occasional praise, as others have been to me.
