Co-author of 2nd Edition of "What works for whom: a critical review of treatments for children and young people" with Fonagy, Cottrell, Phillips, Glaser and Allison (Guilford, 2014) and numerous other chapters and academic papers.

Main professional interests:

Substance use disorders and their treatment in young people, developing mentalization-based treatments for complex, highly socially excluded and disadvantaged, high risk and under-served (the so-called "hard to reach") youth (the AMBIT project based at the Anna Freud Centre). Main developer of Wiki-based treatment manuals - see http://www.tiddlymanuals.com and an open source approach to the development and dissemination of emerging best evidence-baed practice for young people.
