I am a 24-year old journalist/writer from Helsinki, Finland. Since 2000 I have worked for a computer magazine and a decoration magazine, but my real interests are quite different. My hobbies and passions include e.g. literature and creative writing, electronic music, art, plants, travelling, activism, photography, cooking and food culture (especially those of South Asian countries), medicine (especially immunology, endocrinology, pharmacology, oncology, neurology, psychiatry, nutrition and herbal medicine). I have authored a medical book about CFS/ME and fibromyalgia treatments.
I've edited Wikipedia since 2005, both the English and Finnish editions (the English one a bit more frequently). I don't have all that many edits under my belt even though I use Wikipedia on daily basis, as I tend towards larger revisions instead of fixing single typos. Primarily I edit medical articles and to some extent also ones about e.g. food, music, plants and demoscene. Mostly I fix links, wikify and try to fix style, structure and formatting, but of course I also try to share my knowledge with others.
I have started a few articles in the Finnish Wikipedia, but none yet on the English one, as pretty much everything I've thought of writing about has already been there. However I'm planning to write some articles related to CFS/ME, such as articles about the most important researchers and theories on the topic.
I've maintained a personal website since 1997 and it can be found at http://www.fiikus.net. In addition I maintain numerous other websites, but I'm not going to list them all here. I can probably be best reached on IRC, I'm on IRCnet with the nick DiamonDie. I use the same nick on Twitter, too.
