The following types of redirects can be automatically patrolled
- A) Redirects from "FooBar (disambiguation)" to "FooBar"
- B) Redirects where the difference between the source and the target is limited to different capitalization and use of accents/diacritics
- C) "FooBars" or "FooBares" -> "FooBar" (plural to singular)
- D) "Foo’Bar", "Foo'Bar", or "Foo‘Bar" -> "Foo'Bar" (different types of apostrophes)
- E) "Bar, Foo" -> "Foo Bar" (sorting name)
- F) "FooBar" -> "List of FooBar" (to lists)
- G) "Foo Bar" or "Foo-Bar" -> "FooBar" (or vice versa; differences in spacing)
- H) "Foo v Bar" or "Foo vs. Bar" or "Foo vs Bar" -> "Foo v. Bar" (different format of case names)
- I) "Foo" -> "The Foo" (without "The" at the start)
- J) "Foo[-‒–—―]Bar" -> "Foo[-‒–—―]Bar" (different dashes)
- "D" is extended to include

- All redirects created by users listed in at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Redirect whitelist are automatically patrolled
- K) Automatically patrol redirects with the difference between the title and the target is using: US vs U.S. / USA vs U.S.A. / & vs and / UK vs U.K. / FC vs F.C. / SC vs S.C.
