Compact Information Systems provides resident/occupant, consumer and business list information, including data processing, data hygiene and database management. Compact also provides personalized digital printing.

Overview

Compact Information Systems was founded in 1988 by Pat Wiley. It is headquartered in Redmond, WA, USA. The company employs approximately 40 people.

Compact provides national mailing lists to mail houses and direct marketing agencies. They provide resident, business and consumer lists as well as data processing services, including National Change of Address processing and presorting. The company also offers direct mail services, project management, programming services, laser printing and copying, and digital printing.

As one of sixteen members of NAAD (National Association of Advertising Distributors), Compact compiles the National Resident Database (NRD). The NRD is a mailing list of deliverable US household addresses. It is updated bimonthly with USPS Computerized Delivery Sequence (CDS) data and provides a saturation mailing list that is carrier walk-sequenced. As of July 2008, the estimated US household total was 129,065,564.

An automated map sectoring program was developed by Compact in 2008. Compact and Intura partnered to service the restaurant industry using this technology. This enabled Intura’s customers to map the delivery area they wished to target, and download a mailing list for their specific market area.
