Origins -international -rise in usage

Application/use in

  • Desktop computers (structure/diagram, example)
  • Servers/commercial applications (structure, example)

Advantages -lower temperatures in comparison to air cooling (as low as ambient temperature) -potential for reduced noise in comparison to air

Disadvantages -potential for leakage (though risk can be mitigated to some degree) -generally higher cost at outset -additional maintenance efforts required
