Hi, Good People,

Welcome to my user page.

I’ve worked in various articles of varying subjects, but in particular, more recently, those on obscure rural places in the Australian state of Queensland, where I live. I previously concentrated on BLP's with political connections and current affairs, but have more or less abandoned that area, as trying to edit anything there is fraught with problems.

I agree, regrettably yet wholeheartedly, with Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger's perception of left-wing and liberal ideological bias in its articles, his saying in 2021 that "liberals or leftists made their march through the institutions ... and basically took [Wikipedia] over", and that "They started getting rid of citations from conservative sources, even conservative sources that were cited in order to explain the conservative point of view."[1] This [1] article details some of the "guilty parties" who indulge in such activity.

The elimination from the list of reliable sources of any website or institution which puts forward a right wing view is an absurdity for an organisation which purports to present a neutral point of view. It has made it impossible to edit fairly any articles which touch on politics or current affairs of any description. In these areas and more, Wikipedia has, in effect, become Wokipedia.

The following might not been said. But you never know…
Joe Rogan: "I’ve been drinking lots of water."
CNN: "Joe Rogan promotes the ingestion of a liquid commonly used as engine coolant."

This just in! Axios has just posted (October 18, 2023) on X a link to an article about the southern border of the USA, saying: "By using the term "open border," conservatives are suggesting that anyone can get into the U.S. without much hassle. But the reality is the southern border is more fortified than it's ever been." This is obviously a straight out lie, but Wikipedia says: "There is a consensus that Axios is generally reliable."
