sometimes i edit wikipedia and sometimes i spend way too long doing so

i don't agree with one of your edits

I promise my edits aren't personal, made carelessly, or made in bad faith. My main motivation to edit pages is because I probably saw some obscure grammatical error that 90% of people wouldn't think twice about, and I get so caught up in editing said error that that sometimes (read: most of the time) I'll start fact-checking information as well. It is entirely possible for me to be wrong, both stylistically and factually. I do ask, though, for you to come to my talk page if you disagree with and/or revert one of my edits and discuss it with me, so that I can improve upon my sins in future edits.

why are you posing rhetorical statements like this is an FAQ page?

not sure. It's just a product of how my brain works; my internal monologue does its best work in a Q&A-kinda situation. It's like the imaginary conversations we have in the shower that we'll never admit to having with ourselves; I'm just shameless enough to publicize them on my user page.
