Hello Wikipedia!
I contributed to the German Wikipedia from January 2007 to September 2011. Frustrated by the rigid structures and arrogance experienced there, I reduced my commitment considerably.
I feel that the English Wikipedia makes better use of the Wisdom of the crowd, maybe because the number of users is bigger and/or the users are spread all over the globe, which hinders the forming of cliques and such. Also, and maybe related to that, the tone and manners are less rude here in general.
I am a biologist specialized in biochemistry, cell biology and pharmacology.
