Biography: Dr. Michael Baron

Dr. Michael Baron (born March 21 1976 in Moscow, Russia) is an Australian Writer, Educator and Business Consultant. From an early age, he was regarded as a child prodigy due to his great academic achievements as well as well as his creative writing (poetry) and language learning abilities. He managed to complete his high school studies and gain University acceptance by the age of 15. Furthermore, in the same year (1991) his English-to-Russian translation of R. Dahl’s ‘’Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’’ got published by one the leading Russian publishing houses and had over 200,000 copies sold.

In October 1991, Michael’s family immigrated to Australia. This was a dramatic decision as in order to assist his parents and himself in surviving in the new country, Michael had to cut-down on his creative writing activities and combine his University studies with a wide range of part time jobs teaching English and Chess and even doing some factory work! In 1995, he graduated from the University of Melbourne with an Arts degree, making him one of the youngest graduates of that decade. Later in life, Michael has returned to study to complete his Master of Training and Development from Edith Cowan University and (in 2008) Ph.D. in Marketing Communications from Curtin University(1). The Thesis was also published (with slight modifications) as an Academic Monograph(2).

Michael Baron's books and articles cover a wide range of business and politics-related areas (3), (4), (5) (6). He is also lecturing MBA and MBT students at some of the leading Australian Universities.
