Admitting you're wrong

This is my number one pet peeve. It amazes me how often people are unwilling to do this. We are all human, if you made an obvious mistake or your original point of view has proven to be wrong, please own up to it. Everyone appreciates it, it diffuses arguments quickly, and makes our community better. I have tremendous respect for anyone who can admit that they are wrong, perhaps we should hand out awards for it. I make tons of mistakes, and if I make one I promise to own up to it. Of course I am often right too... :)
