AllisonMaryMartin is the user name for Allison Martin, graduate student at the Johns Hopkins University. Allison Martin received a Bachelors Degree from the University of Delaware in 2007, where she majored in Art Conservation and Art History. After college, she moved to New Orleans, where she worked in the private sector, restoring paintings damaged in Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and later Gustav. In 2010, Allison moved back to her home state of Maryland and began interning for the Smithsonian Museum Conservation Institute, working under Senior Painting Conservator Jia-sun Tsang. She is currently a Collections Care and Processing Contractor for the Smithsonian Institute.
