Appropriateness of template
Hello,
I respect this template was made in good faith, and I don't think it's an issue to have such a list at Namdar Realty Group. But does this really make sense to stick on every individual mall? These malls have nothing to do with one another. The distant corporate parent just doesn't seem that relevant. Considering malls can also pass between corporate parents like transient hot potatoes, it doesn't seem something of an enduring interest. The usual rule for navigation templates is "would you be tempted to stick these links in a See also", and I kinda don't think that's the case here. I wouldn't stick a See also on an Illinois mall to a New Jersey mall. SnowFire (talk) 10:49, 21 November 2022 (UTC)

- You created that template, too, though - doesn't seem like a strong indication of a wide consensus. Was there a discussion somewhere else on this topic you know of? Anyway, I'm not totally against categorization by company when there's a strong "brand" connecting them - see Template:Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. But these malls have nothing to do with one another. Look at Chapel Hills Mall for example - it was owned by General Growth Properties, then Coyote Management LP and Garrison Investment Group, then foreclosed on (maybe run by the bank briefly?), then only recently purchased by Namdar. Doesn't appear to have a strong link to Namdar to me, which merely owned it in its twilight years. Full disclosure, I'm considering nominating this navbox for TFD, but happy to be convinced otherwise if there is a strong standard behind it. SnowFire (talk) 23:37, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
