Template problem

Having two sets of templates in the code disrupts, the bullets when displayed in the "External links" sections of articles. See Charlie Gardiner (ice hockey) for an exmaple. Flibirigit (talk) 02:34, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Players/Builders/Referees

I've noticed that since I created {{Legendsmember}}, I overlooked the fact that the URL syntax for players, builders, and referees is slightly different. If there's no objections, I can request to have the protected template edited to have an option to chose between player/builder/referee, or create a second and third template for builders and referees. Thanks. Flibirigit (talk) 19:17, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The different URL syntaxes are:

  1. http://www.legendsofhockey.net:8080/LegendsOfHockey/jsp/LegendsMember.jsp?type=Player&mem=P196901&list=ByName#photo
  2. http://www.legendsofhockey.net:8080/LegendsOfHockey/jsp/LegendsMember.jsp?type=Builder&mem=B196001&list=ByName#photo
  3. http://www.legendsofhockey.net:8080/LegendsOfHockey/jsp/LegendsMember.jsp?type=Official&mem=O199101&list=ByName#photo

One options is to have the user input everything after "LegendsMember.jsp?type=" or have a user input "type=Player/Builder/Official" and then input "mem=P196901/B196001/O199101"

Any preference? Flibirigit (talk) 19:21, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would say just do something like legendsmember|type|number kind of like we do on the hockeydb template where it is hockeydb|number|undisambiguated name. I unprotected it so you can make changes. Whenever you are done message me and I will reprotect it. -Djsasso (talk) 20:02, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Alright... give me a bit. Flibirigit (talk) 21:45, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Documentation subpage?

{{editprotected}} Could someone create the documentation subpage and otherwise edit the template to conform to WP:DOC? Thanks! GregorB (talk) 07:58, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
