Question of which category this template should be included in

This templatesis currently in Category:English writer navigational boxes, but this is inconsistent with the Kazuo Ishiguro article which describes him as "a Nobel Prize-winning British novelist, screenwriter, and short-story writer". Equally that article is generally in British rather than English categories (eg note that it is in Category:British male novelists, rather than Category:English male novelists). Given this I wonder if it would be better for the template to be moved to Category:British writer navigational boxes. It does seem that it is usually the case when it comes to categories for people not born in the UK, but who later primarily resided in the UK or took UK citizenship is put in British categories, rather than English/Scottish/Welsh ones eg Template:Linton Kwesi Johnson Template:Alexander Litvinenko and Template:Salman Rushdie are all in Category:British writer navigational boxes. That said, I am not sure if Sir Kazuo Ishiguro has ever identified as being "English". If someone has evidence that he has, then the current category would make more sense.
