XK to XY Model Codes – American or Australian?

Do we have any evidence to show that the XK through XY codes were American? My understanding is that these were Australian codes used to indentify Australian variants of the Falcon and that the US cars were simply known as the 1960 Falcon, 1961 Falcon etc. I propose to change the table accordingly. Should there be provision for related topics?

For example the Ford Fairmont (Australia), Ford Falcon GT and Ford Performance Vehicles in Australia may well be of interest to readers. Paul foord (talk) 15:25, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
