Please do not convert this to {{navbox}} format. This takes up more spacethan the current layout, as well as being less clear. Tompw (talk) (review) 23:57, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

no. We have been standardizing most, if not all navigational templates to NAVBOX as it takes less space vertically than the previous version. nat.utoronto 05:29, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, it isn't any less clear that the previous version. NAVBOX gives a more professional look to the encyclopedia as a whole as it would organize a lot better if all the templates are NAVBOX. thats why NAVBOX exists in the first place. nat.utoronto 05:31, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alberta Senate Elections

I removed the link to Alberta Senate nominee election, 2012 from the "Most recent" section of the template. Senate nominee elections aren't a thing in Alberta anymore - none was held in conjunction with the 2015 provincial election, and the enabling legislation expired at the end of 2016. I don't think there's a point in keeping this in the template; 2012 will always be "Most recent." I think the link to Alberta Senate nominee elections under the "Lists" header is enough.

117Avenue reverted my removal, so it seems like this may be an area where consensus is needed. All feedback/opinions welcome. Madg2011 (talk) 04:01, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing out that this law expired. I know the NDP and Liberals are against the nominee election, meaning one will not be held soon, but I had no idea it was a law that expires. Seeing that there is no future for nominee elections, I think it can be removed. 117Avenue (talk) 04:20, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
