A rather garish edit notice! But the only edit I am requesting is the spelling fix for "particuar". -- John of Reading (talk) 12:21, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- Quite, for some reason a lot of new editors come to that page and post random stuff, so the notice tries to inform them that they went astray.
Anyway, spelling fixed, thanks! Amalthea 13:08, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
Please make the page less obnoxious

Hi. The current version of this edit notice really is too much. At a minimum, the warning icons (e.g., File:Achtung.svg) need to be removed and some of the text needs a little (err, a lot) less "the world will end because you clicked an edit link somewhere." --MZMcBride (talk) 22:33, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
- I agree it was bloody awful. Is that better? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:56, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
- Substantially. Thank you! --MZMcBride (talk) 15:20, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
- It's a lot better, but that's only a start. Why does it need to repeat the title? Why does it say it is not for random questions before saying what it is for, and then say it again immediately after? Why are there three lines about specific random questions when the relevant links could be put in one of the lines about random questions in general? And why is it pink? -— Isarra ༆ 16:26, 21 September 2012 (UTC)

Something like this would be better:
